Postgraduate students at Masters and Doctoral level are invited to submit research in progress to the EAI AFRICATEK 2022 M&D Symposium. This gives students the opportunity to actively engage with their peers and established researchers on the topic of their research. Submissions should take the form of a 500 word poster abstract. The focus of the study should be within the scope of the theme for the Conference – see the details here: https://africatek.eai-conferences.org/2022/call-for-papers/
Authors of successful submissions will be required to present at a dedicated symposium on Monday, 05 December 2022 and to submit a poster for display during the main conference.
The symposium will be free of charge for all accepted participants and a reduced rate for the main conference will be extended to participants to encourage them to further engage with other conference delegates. The symposium is open to invited participants only.
Submission Information
Submissions to the M&D Symposium may only be made by currently enrolled Masters and Doctoral students. Abstracts of approximately 500 words, following the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series format should be submitted through the EAI AFRICATEK 2022 Conference system (https://africatek.eai-conferences.org/2022/submission/) before or on 21 November 2022. If you have not yet done so, you will have to create an account on EAI Conference Management System – Confy+ (https://confyplus.eai.eu/) to be able to submit your paper.
Submissions not following the format will not be accepted. All submissions should be in English. Submissions for the M&D Symposium are not submitted blind but will be evaluated by the programme committee.
Students whose submissions are accepted for presentation will be required to bring a poster of their research with them to the conference. Posters must be either A2 or A1 in size, and contain the student’s affiliation legibly on the poster.
